Wellness Café in the news
The Ham & High reported on the opening of the new Wellness Café a HNCC and St Michael’s Church partnership.
The launch event follows a successful first few weeks of operation, and was held at St Michael’s Church, Highgate where the fantastic value £2.50 community lunches are held each Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30am to 2pm. The lunches also run on Thursdays at the United Reformed Church in nearby Pond Square, and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at St Mary Brookfield Church. Full details available here.
Interviewed by the Ham & High, Larraine Revah, who runs the Wellness Café initiative, emphasised the importance of the lunches in bringing the community back together following social isolation imposed by lockdowns. As well as an opportunity to get a nutritious meal in a social setting, the Wellness Café is also an opportunity to connect with a range of other services which help to support different sections of the community from young families to senior citizens.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Wellness Café.
